This isn’t going to be a comment on the actual content of your post, because I can’t read Hebrew. However, I tried selecting some of the text and the highlighted area moved ‘backwards’ – away from my cursor rather than towards it. Apparently Firefox isn’t great about displaying Hebrew😦

Well, since it’s Hebrew, it shouln’t bother you so much🙂

Actually, the post is about a really silly news article I read about a city in Israel called Kiryat Gat. Yesterday was Yom Kippur and also, in the morning, a synagogue burnt almost entirely the ground. Of course, as fits these situations, some half-assed yokel said it was a “miracle” no one got hurt. Also, he said that the congregation are going to have to try very hard to find out where “they went wrong”.

My answer to that was “lax fire protection”, but the bible-thumpers are probably going to waste the whole of yom kippur trying to blame themselves for this.

Ha, I guess there are some universals in religion, the practice of ascribing purpose to random events being one of them.

I just hate it when people get screwed anally by Yahweh, it’s all “GOd works in mysterious ways” and “it’s God’s will” and when someone decides that there’s some tiny bright side, it’s a friggin’ miracle.

What kind of gullbile idiots actually benefit from this mode of thinking?
